So a few weeks ago my coworkers bike was stolen from the employee bike lot. So she informed the police and today they asked her to come in so that she could fill out a formal document. So I told her I would go with her, mainly because I have never been to one.
She had called ahead and they knew she was coming in.

They were a bit surprised when I walked in but then again most people, especially in my small town, are often surprised when I walk in.
But we were guided into a small room where a younger police officer came in and took my coworkers information and statement. At the time only 3 officers where there. And older man, the younger man, and a middle aged married man. The married man came in to check in and help the younger officer.
Suddenly the married officer started asking me questions. Such as why I was at the station, What I was doing in Japan (Which prompted further questions), what I do and how long I had been there.

He then asked to see my residency card.
I asked if I was in trouble and he said no. He looked at it and then asked if he could make a copy. I agreed. When he returned I asked why he wanted to make a copy. He said that they have to complete a survey of foreign people living in the area. Honestly, that didn't make sense to me. I've lived here for a bit over 2 years and as a foreigner we must register with the city anytime we move.
Once we finished the Officers had to go to the location where my coworkers bike was stolen. So they drove us!
Check it out in part of my recent video!
